I'm often asked by people why on earth I would put so much effort and preparation into something that going to be past in prime in less than a day. I tend to tell them that half the fun is watching these guys rot! I seen pumpkins turn to a pile a rotten mush in less than a week on the other hand if there a cold snap with low humidity they can last though the winter.
