Here we are at Pumpkinville with this lovely 577lb pumpkin to play with. I had been watching the weather but less than a hour into the fun a freak snow squal appeared and prioceed to dump several inches of snow on us. I think thats the purplest I've seen my fingers in all my years of carving. Though I froze and didn't make good time on this one by late afternoon the weather had improved and the next day was crisp and gorgeous. Without my own bucket to keep track of the peelings I would say from the mound around the spool 75 pounds were removed during the 17 hours it took to get this guy out.
