I'm here at the Summit in Niagara Falls, NY. Newton Grossbeek was a fascinating Grumpkin. With August in October his final growth spurt left him reinforced with bark covered splits and veins of woody cellular barkification. So the 5 day odyssey begins and the can fills with endless shavings each day. When all of Sunday's peelings had made it in to the can the total was 289lbs of pumpkin shaved off to release the Grumpkin trapped inside.
